facing rejection

12 years later I find this letter in a folder that my husband marked 'Cards from Family'! Wow, he has saved ALL the cards from his family! Well, in 2003 he must have been going through his own personal struggle of life and I must have been promted to rewrite a devotion for him to encourage him.

We will ALL face personal rejection and personal criticism too. The question is posed, "How will we meet (rejection)/criticism"? Jesus gave us His life as an example for us during our struggles here on earth. Hopefully you will read this short devotion and be encouraged to fulfill God's purpose for your life.

May God bless you on your life journey!  I love you ALL!!!

the garden flowers...

The Garden Flowers

These flowers were sent to you
in hopes that you will see,
the beauty of the Lord's bounty
throughout eternity.

Just looking at these flowers,
and all their many hues,
reflects God's Glory
that He is certainly due.

The flowers from our garden
and the words of the Bible say,
that the flowers may fade away
but the Words of our God will stay.

These flowers were sent to you
to help us all realize,
that God loves us so much more,
than the flowers may disguise.

tears in heaven...

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven?

I must be strong
And carry on,
'Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven.

Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven?

I'll find my way
Through night and day,
'Cause I know I just can't stay
Here in heaven.

Time can bring you down,
Time can bend your knees.
Time can break your heart,
Have you begging please, begging please.

Beyond the door,
There's peace I'm sure,
And I know there'll be no more
Tears in heaven.

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven?

I must be strong
And carry on,
'Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven.

sin is like a store bought blueberry muffin

I am sitting here at the pool of a Disney Resort called Port Orleans Riverside, near the '95' building where we are staying and preparing for my first morning at the pool. I just got back from the resort hotel where I purchased a scrumptous looking, mouth watering, blueberry mufin.  After my first bite of this muffin, I realized that the taste wasn't near to what I had expected it to be.  Compared to the looks of the muffin, the taste and the consumtion was no where near what my hopes and desires were wanting it to taste like.  Then I began to realize, that is how sin is. It deceives us! We look at something and think how wonderful it will be if we had it, and the enjoyment that it will give us, but the consequences of our sin far - far - far out weights the enjoyment that it gives us.

peace

I look at this picture and it means PEACE to me.

The lady sitting in her beach chair, reading a book

and feeling the ocean breeze blowing on her face.

She is finally getting to relax at the beach on her

vacation from the cares of this world. But after her

vacation, she comes back to the reality of her world,

realizing that her peace did not last very long. Then

she understands that she needs “The Prince of Peace”

living inside of her soul to have an everlasting peace.

Jesus wants us to have His Peace, resting in knowing

that He has taken care of ALL the cares of this world.

From the day we confess that we are sinners and ask

Him to forgive us, and to save our souls. This step

of faith, that He even gives us to start with, will give

us His PEACE that passes ALL understanding.

The peace that we go on vacations for, we can have

everyday of our lives and for eternity.

the three gifts

Have you ever wondered what the three gifts that the three wise men brought to the Baby Jesus were representing? Well let’s take a closer look at these three gifts and see what God was showing us.

The First Wise Man brought Gold to the Baby Jesus. Gold is a precious metal that is worth a lot of money, in those days and now. A gift of Gold was given to Kings. The First Wise Man knew that Jesus was a King. Jesus is our eternal, everlasting King for now and when we go to Heaven.

The Second Wise Man brought the baby Jesus Frankincense. This was an oil that when it was burned the fragrance went up to Heaven for God to smell. God wanted them to do this for Him while they prayed to Him. After Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead three days later, He is our fragrance that God smells for us instead of our stinky sins. Because of what Jesus did in obedience to God’s command, we can now go boldly before God’s throne and pray directly to Him through Jesus our Savior.

The Third Wise Man brought the baby Jesus Myrrh. Myrrh is an oil that was used to dress the body after death. This gift was a foreshadowing of Jesus’ life. The baby Jesus would grow up and live on earth and die for our sins and rise from the dead on the third day. Because He did this in obedience to God’s command, we now are clothed in His “robe of righteousness”. This robe covers ALL of our sins from the beginning of the world until we pass away from this world to Heaven.

The next time you see someone on the street holding a sign that says, “Buy Gold”, remember that first gift of Gold that was brought to the baby Jesus; the King of Kings was brought Gold on his Birthday to testify to the world that He is the King of Kings on earth and in Heaven.

The next time you pray to God, remember that second gift of frankincence that was brought to the baby Jesus. And the only reason you can pray to our Holy God and come boldly before His Throne, is because Jesus died on the cross for your sins and rose again so you can live forever.

The next time you put on your robe at night, remember that third gift of Myrrh that was brought to the baby Jesus. And remember that you have a robe of righteousness to wear everyday, when you repent of your sins and ask Jesus to come to live in your heart as Lord of your life.

(this was my way of giving 3 gifts to our grandchildren, Ansley & Gabriel on 2011 Christmas night at our house)

foundations

Psalm 11:3 says   ...
If the foundations are destroyed
What can the righteous do?

The foundations are what we
build upon ... the early years
that we teach our young

The foundations are what we
live upon ... the word of God
being number one.

The foundations must not be destroyed
teach upon ... your little ones.

God intrusted to you
Moms and Dads ... you are the ones
and God will equip you to teach
your little ones.

she felt alone

She saw the house standing in an unusually rundown way, and
she felt worried, so she cried out to God.

She checked the paper to make sure that she was at the right house, and
she felt the need to close her eyes to pray.

She walked around to the back of the house with no hope, and
she felt her heart skip a beat as she took a deep breath.

She walked up
the rickety back stairs, and
she felt her knees tremble.

She was lead to sit down
on the living room couch to wait, and
she felt God say...

Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

She felt God's strength as
she got up off of the couch and
walked out of the living room.

She felt her knees sturdy as
she walked down the rickety back stairs.

She felt her heart beating strong as she took a deep breath, and
she walked around to the front of the house with new hope.

She felt the need to close her eyes to pray, and
she crumbled up the paper that had taken her to the house.

She felt relieved after crying out to God, and she now saw the house standing
in a totally different way, because...

She felt me, and she was not alone.

You created my inmost being; you knit me toether in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:13-14  Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.  Psalm 139:23-24

Out of the blue, my mother told me this story, how she had gone to an illegal abortionist in 1948 to take my life and how
she sat on a couch in someone's living room and her mind was miraculously changed by God; she then got up off of the couch and left. She wanted me to know this, that God loved me, and He wanted me to live, and that she loved me too.  I took care of my Mom in the later years of her life.  She passed away at the age of ninety-three.  If out of the blue you read her story, then hopefully you will see as my mother did, that God has a purpose for your life and the life of your little one too.  Close your eyes as my mother did, and pray to God, asking Him to lead you, and to give you new hope, because you are not alone!

a hole in my soul

I feel a hole in my soul,

Now that my son beholds.

God and Jesus and Holy Spirit are in his sight.

I grieve, but I know that he is allright.

When the hole in my soul is whole again,

I will beholding Jesus.

And I won't feel that hole in my soul.

filled with kisses

My cousins drew pictures
and put them in their balloons.
And my Momma ask me...
"What are you gonna put in
your balloon, Honey?" and I said...

I'm gonna fill my balloon with kisses
for my Daddy who's in Heaven.
Will you take my kisses to Daddy
and tell him I love YOU!

My cousins were there with me
on that memorial weekend day.
The balloons were blue, my Daddy's
favorite color and sometimes the
way we feel inside when we miss him.

I'll see you again, Daddy,
because I believe in Jesus.
Just like you prayed for me to do.
When you and Momma dedicated me
on that February morn.

And my Daddy said...
Chunky Monkey,
Thank you for your kisses that you
flew up to me today!
It's OK, Gracie, everything is OK!
I'll see you again one Day!
I love you too!

deeds

Deeds

Your heart is full
from God's
"Well Done Indeed"
Not from the
response of
the one to whom
the deed was done.
For what if the
one to whom the deed
was done,
did not exclaim
"well done indeed"!
And if you
counted on them
to make your
heart full,
from your thoughts of
their misdeed
of no response,
you will
indeed fall
into the trap
called,
"Self-Pit-Deed"
(self pity)

my daddy's shoes

My Daddy's Shoes

I walked with my Daddy
till I didn't see him one day.
Hand in hand we use to play.
An angel took him away.
He was only forty-two and
I had just started walking.

I'll walk in my Daddy's shoes,
cause my Mommy wants me to.
He ask her to train me up,
to believe in God's promises.
My Daddy believed that
Jesus gave His life for me!

I'll walk in my Daddy's memories,
cause they're kept alive for me,
through lots of pictures and
funny videos to see.
Everybody loved him and they want me
to remember how much he loved me.

I'll walk with my Daddy again,
when I see him on that Day.
We will walk hand and hand to play,
nothing will take us away
from God's promised land,
cause we just started walking.

One Red Leaf

I looked at the tree
and thought of me
as only one red leaf
was left at the top, you see.

I thought about my life
as I looked at this tree,
that use to be so full
of caring for my family.

My family is gone now
the nest is termed empty
just like this last leaf
it makes me feel whimsy.

Life cycle is fast
but at first not so,
then fall and winter and
strangely it goes.

Then I was bereaved
bare as a bone
until I realized
I was not all alone.

Spring it started budding
with God’s Grace abounding
each branch is full now
and my family’s astounding!

I looked back at the tree
at the one red leaf so bold,
beyond its barrenness
I realized that God is in control.

to choose

to stay in the womb is not our choice

to be born into this sinful world isn't either

our choice comes at the age of accountability

that is the most important choice of all

to choose to serve the Lord God Almighty

the One who formed your inward parts

the One who covered you in your mother's womb

the One who appointed the date and place and time you were born

the One who gives you the faith of a mustard seed to choose

son-light of God

The first Son-Light
on the tops of
the trees...
How beautiful are the
pines that sparkle
of Thee...

The first Son-Light
that floates across
the sky...
How beautiful are the
clouds that reflect
Your eyes...

The first-Son-Light
that warms
my skin...
How beautiful is
the Love of God
that comes within...

The first Son-Light
that begins my day...
How beautiful it will be
if I begin it
with Praise...

you may never know me

summer lee ~ Born 17weeks early 1 pound 3 ounces July 3, 2008

You may never know me
and that will be alright, but
"YOU MAY" know the One who
will always be your Light! John 8:12

You may never meet me
and that may bring you strife, but
"YOU MAY" meet the One who will
give you Eternal Life! Romans 6:23

You may never talk with me
and that's the way life's been, but
"YOU MAY" talk with the Son of God
who died for ALL your sins! John 3:16

You may never walk with me
and that's because I'm old, but
"YOU MAY" walk one day with me
on Heavens streets of Gold! Revelation 21:18

The reason I say "YOU MAY"
is because you must choose, the
gods of this world, or
The Lord God who made YOU! Joshua 24:15

Lord, is that me in the tree that I see...

is that me or Thee? Tell me Lord, what do I see? Is it me praying to Thee or Thee praying for me?

It is I praying for ... All Who Will Believe... to the Father asking Him that I be in them and He in Me and that they may be brought to Complete Unity to let the world know that He sent Me and Loves them even as He Loved Me. John 17:20-23 (a profile of left side of a face with hands in front praying...can you see it?)

grab hold of His Arm during your Storm...

Will we have God's Peace in the Mist of our Storm?
If we have not been through a Storm,
our Storm will come.
Will we have God's Strength in the Mist of our Storm?
Oh how we pray on the day of our Storm,
We pray for God's Peace and God's Strength.
Grab hold of His Arm
And we will Stand Strong
While in the Mist of our Storm
Our Misty Storm
Will only last for a moment.
Even though it seems to last forever.
It will fade away when He shines His Light
And then we will understand His Plan for our Storm.

the brevity of life. . .

What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
James 4:14, NIV

Several years ago a university student asked me what had been my biggest surprise in life. Immediately I replied, "The brevity of life." Almost before we know it, the years have passed and life is almost over.
On one hand, life's brevity should challenge us. If ever we are to live for Christ and share Him with others, it must be now. Jesus said, "The night is coming when no one can work" (John 9:4).
But life's brevity should also comfort us. Life is short--and before us is eternity! When sufferings overwhelm us or difficulties assail us we know they will soon be over. Paul wrote, "Our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more esceeding and eternal weight of glory....For the things which are seen are temporary" (2 Cor. 4:17-18).
Don't live as if this life will continue forever. It won't. Live instead with eternity in view!

standing before Christ

God has clearly put every Christian on notice that every one of us will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and give an account of how we have lived our life here on earth.1 And for those who have never received Jesus as their Savior they will stand before God at the Great White Judgment Throne of God and be judged for their sins and will have to pay the just penalty thereof because they never accepted Jesus as their Savior and asked for and accepted God's forgiveness.

As God's Word says, "And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."3

Whatever you do, don't ignore God's warning and don't take God's mercy for granted. "Behold, now is 'the acceptable time,' behold, now is 'the day of salvation.'"4 If you have never accepted Jesus as your Savior and asked God for forgiveness for all your sins, I urge you, dear reader, to do that today.

For help click on the Know God button below or go to: http://tinyurl.com/8glq9.

Suggested prayer: "Dear God, thank you for your Word that tells me what I need to do to have my sins forgiven; and thank you for giving Jesus, your Son, to pay the penalty for all my sins through his death on the cross. And thank you for giving me a clear warning that 'As it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.'5 letting me know that it is imperative that I make things right with you today as it is too late after I die. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, in Jesus' name, amen."

you can be sure you will go to heaven ...

You can be sure you will go to heaven when you die
As a young girl I once saw an old black-and-white Cecil B. DeMille film on the life of Jesus, titled "King of Kings." The film was very moving, and when I watched the crucifixion scene, I began to weep. I realized Jesus had died for me and that my sin had nailed Him to the cross. My mother led me in prayer as I confessed my sin to God and told Him I was sorry. I thanked Jesus for dying for my sin and asked God to forgive me. I told Him I believed Jesus had risen from the dead, and I invited Him to come live in my heart. I don’t remember any dramatic sensation afterward, but I knew my sin had been forgiven and I had been born again. That prayer began a love relationship with Jesus that is more real to me than any other. And I would like to share it with you...

Only God, through Christ, has the power to forgive sin.¹ It doesn’t matter how big the sin is or how small, it doesn’t matter how long ago it was committed or how recently. It doesn’t matter whether it was spontaneous or malicious. God will forgive you if you come to Him at the cross of Jesus Christ.
God forgave the men who nailed His Son to the cross—when they asked Him to.² So why do you think He won’t forgive you when you ask? What do you think is beyond the forgiveness of God? Abortion?—Adultery?—Abuse?—Hate?—Hypocrisy?—Doubt? —Divorce?—Drunkenness?—Or Immorality?—Or Murder?—Or _____? You fill in the blank.

There is nothing you have ever done that He cannot or will not forgive when He is humbly asked.

A few years ago I found myself groping for a way to explain this to a woman who had been on death row for multiple murders and would be executed within ten hours of my visit. Tears glistened in her eyes as she looked at me beseechingly, needing assurance of the salvation she had claimed by faith six years earlier. That very night she would be stepping into eternity, and she was desperate for reassurance of her forgiveness by God. I asked her if she had ever been to the ocean, and she nodded "yes." I asked her if, as she had walked along the shore, she had seen small holes in the sand where ghost crabs had darted in and out. Again she nodded. I then asked if she had seen any larger holes, like those made by children digging. Beginning to look puzzled, she said "yes," she had seen holes like that. I persisted gently to see if she had ever seen huge holes created by machines dredging a channel or burying pipe lines on the beach. Her brow furrowed as she again acknowledged a quiet "yes." I then leaned toward her and pressed my point, "Velma, when the tide comes in, what happens to all those holes?"
A soft light began to gleam in her eyes, and a smile played at the corner of her lips as I answered my own question. "All the holes are covered equally by the water, aren’t they?
God’s forgiveness is like the tide that washes over all the ‘holes’ of your sins and covers all your sins equally." And Velma stepped into her heavenly home fully assured of her acceptance by God.
Praise God for the sacrifice of Jesus that is sufficient to cover all of your sins. All of them! Even "small" sins like gossip or worry, "medium-size" sins like losing your temper, "large" sins like murder—all are covered equally by the blood of Jesus. You will never be held accountable for the guilt of your sin because Jesus has taken the punishment for you. The price for your redemption has been paid! The sacrifice for your sin has been made! You are forgiven! Eternal life is yours! Heaven is open!
You don’t have to do more good works than bad works.
You don’t have to go to church every time the door opens.
You don’t have to count beads.
You don’t have to be religious.
You don’t even have to be good!
But you and I must confess our sin to Him personally, specifically and honestly if we want to receive forgiveness. God promises, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."³

If you believe the message you have just read is true, you can pray this simple prayer by faith:

Dear God, I confess to You the hardness of my heart, the meanness of my thoughts, the coldness of my spirit, and the sinfulness of my life. I’m so sorry. I know it was for me – and because of me – that Jesus died. Please forgive me of all my sins – big, medium and small, past, present and future. Thank You for Jesus, Who washes my filthy garments of sin white as snow. I know now that I am clean and forgiven and dressed for eternity in heaven with You. Thank You for just giving me Jesus! Amen

If you've just prayed this prayer in your heart, we'd love to hear from you! Drop us a note at angelmin.info@angelministries.org.

the LORD is on your side, just trust HIM totally...

Trust in the lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Most of us know this familiar memory verses. The part of the verse I want to focus on is the first part where it says Trust in the lord with all thine heart. Do we trust God totally? I want you to be honest with yourself. There are certain areas in our lives where we are weak and there are areas where we struggle in. Do we really allow God to help us in that area or do we block him from doing the work that is needed to be done? Do we allow God to have complete control of our lives or are there certain things He can control and other things He'll just have to stay away or mind His business. God wants to direct our path so He has to do some necessary work in us. He will have to go in the areas of our lives where we are weak so He can make us strong. He has to come in and do a complete work in us for there is a greater work we have to do. Trusting God totally means you let go of your power and allow God to come in and do all He has to do because we know in the end He will get the glory out of our lives. The questions I have for you are where is your faith? We often have faith for some things but in other areas we don’t. Do you really trust God totally? One thing we must understand is that our lives are in His hand so whatever He does in our lives it is for our good. Always remember that. In spite of what you might be going through or have experienced. Always know that all things work together for the good of them that love the lord. The lord is on your side. Just trust him totally.

This song by Michael W Smith is dedicated to our children~Gabriel, Emily, Richard and, Robyn~

Tell me when the time we had slipped away
Tomorrow turned to yesterday
And I don't know how
Tell me what can stop this river of tears
It's been building up for years
For this moment now
Here I stand arms open wide
I've held ya close kept ya safe till you could fly
Tell me where the road ahead is gonna bend
And how to harness up the wind
And how to say goodbye
Tell me why why does following your dreams
Take you far away from me
And I knew that it would
Tell me how to fill the space you left behind
And how to laugh instead of cry
And how to say goodbye
Here I stand arms open wide
I've held ya close kept you safe till you could fly
Tell me where the road ahead is gonna bend
And how to harness up the wind
And how to say goodbye
You all profess to have faith in God and His Son Jesus! Our Prayer for you all is to... Finish the race and keep the Faith and never be Ashamed of the Gospel! 2Timothy 4:7 Romans 1:16

do i live what i believe?

Do I live what I believe?
Do my actions, thoughts and deeds,
an overflow of heart and speech, reflect
Your purity? And have I really set aside
those things I know can’t abide. So when
I come to seek Your face my hands are
clean. I know that I must live a life
that causes men to look to Christ. So Father,
come set me aside to live what I believe!

a favorite verse from the Bible

"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone, my hope comes from Him. He alone is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Fortress, I will never be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our Refuge."Psalm 62: 5-8

our beliefs, our vision, our leaders

OUR BELIEFS: We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21) There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30) In the deity of Christ (John 10:33) His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, and 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), His resurrection John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of God (Mark 16:19), His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11). In the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature; and that we are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God's grace and through faith alone we are saved. (John 3:16-19 and 5:24, Romans 3:23 and 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5) In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost - the saved to the resurrection of life, and the lost to the resurrection of condemnation (John 5:28-29) In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:9, Galatians 3:26-28) In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. (Romans 8:13-14, 1Corinthians 3:16 and 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30 and 5:18) In the pre-tribulational rapture of the church in which Jesus Christ returns to take His Bride (the church), out of this world to live forever in His glorious presence called Heaven!
(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

OUR VISION: Our vision is to go out into all the world and tell others how much God our Father LOVES them. That God gave his only Son Jesus Christ to come to Earth to show us Himself in a Human form and to be our sin offering so we could come to a Holy God through Jesus and be saved and enjoy our life on earth with a NEW HEART and eternal LIFE in Heaven with God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. Then that person that we tell will go out and tell and teach and then they will also go out and tell and teach about what Jesus has done for them. Multiply...Multiply...Multiply!

OUR LEADERS: Our leaders are going to be our children and their children and their children and their children and their children and their children and their children and their children and their children and their children and their children and their children and their children and their .... ... .. THE NEXT GENERATION LEADERS
